m i n d i n g m y l a n g u a g e | day ten

With a couple of meetings booked and a bright sunny, fresh Autumn day ahead, what better solution than Sofia Kokosalaki black silk/wool crepe pants and Rupert Sanderson brogues. This is an outfit that still holds a certain amount of credibility as it's not too casual like wearing jeans for instance, but the white top keeps it simple. This is a top I made, with a simple boat neck line rather than the standard tee v-neck or scoop neck option. It helps to pull this look together because it's not printed or too fussy, it's not in a particularly show-stopping fabric, and it covers the shoulders without actually garnering the need for a sleeve.
Considering these pants are quite corporate, I'm feeling a little masculine in this outfit today, it's giving me the confidence to hold my shoulders back and in contrast to yesterday where I was wearing a full skirt with connotations of the 50's, today the roles are changing. Note taken.
