It was a little bit of a tease to have all the Spring Summer shows last month, all the while fully aware that these won't be entering stores until next February. They were international shows though, so they work on the northern hemisphere and that is why Australian companies and designers receive the other way around, with summer stock in July or August and winter stock in February. However, always one to look for the silver lining, I've selected some international resort looks that can be found in store at the moment. There's a versatility to the selection shown here, from stripes and relaxed fits at Stella McCartney and Marni, to something tighter at Helmut Lang. Lela Rose's ribbed white dress is fantastic for work or a summer party and my personal favourite was Chloe's Resort collection, with very wearable blazers and dresses, silk slouched man style trousers and a striped pinafore that I can't get out of my head. Most of these labels are available at stores like Belinda, Peopke, David Jones or online at net-a-porter.com and if you wait for the sales, you might just find yourself a gem.
