Northern Summer Closes

The brilliance behind Garance Dore's writing style is that she pulls you in, conversationally, to her new New York world. And she backs it up with beautiful images of New Yorkers in their daily lives to back it up. Take for example this university student. She's on her way back to school after a three month hiatus and couldn't be cooler, but her outfit is technically oh so simple.
The girl sitting with her breakfast is radiant at the close of summer, surprisingly chilled out for a New York morning. The florist also appears relaxed as she's shot amongst her studio, there's nothing rushed and fast paced about these ladies.
Her illustrations show the love she has for her new Isabel Marant jacket and her new Chanel polish. How luxe.
As Australia joyously delves into warmer days and nights, the northern hemisphere has begun bracing itself for winter again, and I couldn't be happier. There's something about this time of year that spells excitement at all the possibilities. Some of the trees are sporting leaves again, and as the sun catches them on a crisp morning walk down Hermitage Road, there's only one word. Spring. It says it all.
