Clouded by Miranda Kerr's exit and former CEO Mark McInnes sexual misconduct lawsuit, David Jones launched their Spring Summer Collections, business as usual today. Grave fears for a general backlash as a response from women in response to the lawsuit is perhaps no longer causing a problem, considering the resounding support from Australian Designers and David Jones' ability to move forward past the storm. It's certainly damaging behaviour from the former CEO, however, that is not a reflection of the iconic retailer's philosophy and hopefully, they continue to lead the forefront of department stores in Australia.
Megan Gale is fresh faced and smiling, her happiness is infectious on the red carpet. As is that of Sass & Bide's Sarah-Jane Clarke. Nicky and Simone Zimmermann have long been associated with David Jones, and Tigerlily designer Jodhi Meare's is also looking more comfortable in front of the camera's again. It great to see such strong support for a company that's encouraged and nurtured these Australian talents through hardships. The true Australian spirit.
