There is one ability that Karl Lagerfeld has that's remarkably still intact after so many decades in the top seat at Chanel. For those of you who are unacquainted with Monsieur Lagerfeld, he's head designer at Chanel, as well as at Fendi and his own eponymous label. So to say he's busy is an absolute understatement.
And for his Chanel Couture collection, he used his talented ability to read the social trends implicitly. From the tousled hair and make-up, giving a mature but still youthful feel, to the sophisticated and interestingly closed suits and delicately beaded dresses. This is one of his many collections that he creates seasonally, and he always stays true to the requirements of the individual collection, he know's the client without even trying. It's a gift.
