ECLIPSE | Willow AW10

Stepping out to all the big names, Willow produced an enigmatic collection worn by some of the biggest names in modeling at the moment.
Cementing her presence on the New York Fashion Week calendar, Kit Willow-Podgornik provided all the colour ways necessary to keep her on trend, and all the silhouettes to keep her at the top of her game in technical style. Drapes and twists defied engineering and stories showcased an introduction, body and conclusion in mini chapters throughout the show.
Style.com may have snubbed her, but it could just mean she was off schedule. They would take every chance they could to capture Anja Rubic, Karlie Kloss, Abbey-Lee Kershaw and Toni Garn if they new what was good for them. These models pull cred.
It's exciting to see what the Australian designers are achieving internationally, and for Willow-Podgornik's brand to go from strength to strength whilst still maintaining her very definitive handwriting, suggests the talent of an architectural psyche. Building it up season by season is the way the narrative should evolve, and it's a pattern she obviously hasn't taken lightly.
With this collection called ECLIPSE, Willow is a label doing just that to many of the more established power houses in the fashion industry.
Total eclipse of the heart.
