Photography | Jennifer Maronese

Skeletal and astonishing, London based photographer Jennifer Maronese has captured a UK setting in winter with stunning accuracy. Like veins pumping just under the surface of our skin, such shade and light is captured and outlined in snow capped branches. Laced from tips, bareness from foliage, this black and white image takes us to a sequence in play with a red slippery dip of fun.
An x-ray of moss and ice melts in natural brilliance captured in full colour so bright it couldn't possibly be associated with London winter. The colours that Jennifer manages to catch are also evident in her stunning images of Amsterdam, Santorini and other delectable culinary delights. Chilli Pasta stands out from the crowd, and a pot of melting chocolate might accompany the swelled strawberry to perfection. But to imagine sitting on the beautiful white deck chairs could just be the escape we all crave now and again. It's peaceful and the atmosphere is generous in these captivating images.
