We've all seen that person walk into a room and they stand out, they're effortless. We've all wanted to know how they pull it off, wanted to understand the secret they're obviously in on, as to how they just put everything together and get it so right. That's the feeling I got when I looked at Monique Lhuillier's resort collection. The collection sets the bar for garments that can transcend from work to play, and she's kept her black and white palette simple, with injections of lace and tweed to pull textures together. Her rainbow assortment of gowns to conclude show her extraordinary skill at surface application, and it's clear that anyone wearing these pieces would be able to pull of that je ne sais quoi. Effortless.
