m i n d i n g m y l a n g u a g e | day nine

Believe it or not, this is an incredibly versatile skirt. The amount of outfits I've been able to create with this skirt never ceases to amaze me, thanks Willow, you're a star. It would work well with a belt to pull this look together, there's something about it that's not quite finished but I don't have the resources so I'm leaving it as is. Who would have thought I'd wear a white t-shirt so frequently too? Don't worry, I have many and I'm not wearing the same one over and over, but really, without this experiment I wouldn't have realised I have a comfort top. Some people have comfort food, me? I'm all about the white tee apparently. What does it mean?
Analysis over the years of the simple white t-shirt has delved into not only the psychology of such a simple garment, one worn right from birth almost and fitting to us for the rest of our lives if we're lucky but also into the status of such a garment. In common with jeans, these garments have evolved from their workers beginning to something of a status symbol, it's baffling but true. All the different applications and treatments have already been applied to these simple items, so what more can they invent for them in the future? It's possible there's still uncovered territory when it comes to innovation for the white tee and denim jean, but today, it's serving it's purpose as a neutral and comfortable top, not too revealing and an appropriate contrast to the colour of the skirt and boots. Fun.
